Custom Page Layouts

By default, the standard page layout is enabled, and custom page layouts need to be activated using the Mobile Scan Builder. There are three custom page layout options: Custom Page Layouts, Custom Enhancement Layouts, and Custom Event Layouts.

You can add fields to the standard page layout without enabling custom page layouts, but you won’t be able to customize the arrangement of these fields without activating the custom layouts. Additionally, when offline, any added fields won’t be available in the Scan app.

When custom page layouts are enabled, fields in the Scan app will appear as they’re configured in the Mobile Scan Builder.

Enabling Custom Page Layouts Using the Mobile Scan Builder

Custom page layouts can now be enabled through the Mobile Scan Builder. To turn on custom page layouts, follow these steps:

1. Click the App Launcher.

2. Search for "Mobile Scan Builder".

3. Select either "Mobile Scan Builder - Lightning".

4. In the Mobile Scan Builder, go to the Options tab.

5. On the “Options” page, locate the “Layout Options” section and click the toggle(s) to enable custom page layouts.

• Use Custom Layouts: Turns on custom layouts for Lead and Contact OCR pages.
• Use Custom Enhancement Layouts: Turns on custom layouts for Task, Event, and Case enhancements.
• Use Custom Event Layouts: Turns on custom layouts for event Lead and Contact pages, used in the Event Badge and Event API modules.
  

6. After enabling custom page layouts, click "Save" to apply the changes.

Note: Scan app users will need to refresh the Scan app's settings or restart the app for the changes to take effect.
