Customizing Standard Page Layouts

Standard Page Layout

The default layout for Lead and Contact OCR results pages and Task, Event, and Case enhancements in the Scan app is called the standard page layout. It includes the default fields for those pages. Additional fields may be included in the standard page layout for the Contact and Lead OCR result pages.

Fields can be included in the standard page layout via the Mobile Scan Builder, but the ability to customize their placement on the page is not available. To customize field placement, enable custom page layouts. Newly added fields will be positioned below the existing standard fields.

Note: Fields added to the standard page layout will not appear when using the Scan app offline.

How to Add Fields to a Standard Page Layout

Added fields will be positioned beneath the standard fields, with no option to adjust their placement. For customizing the location of a field on a page, activating custom page layouts is required.

To add fields to a standard page layout:

1. Go to the page you wish to edit by selecting the tab with the page's name. Here, we've selected Lead.

2. Select the field(s) you want to include on the page from the 'Available' list. In this case, we've added the 'Salutation ' field to the page.

3. Once you've chosen the field(s) to include, click the top arrow in the center to transfer them to the 'Selected' list.

4. Once the field(s) have been added, click "Save" to confirm the change.

5. A message will pop up confirming the changes have been saved, reminding you that for the changes to take effect in-app, users will need to refresh their app settings.

Note: For the changes to take effect, Scan app users will need to be logged in to Salesforce and either refresh their app settings or restart the app.

Standard Page Layout in the Scan App

The default arrangement of fields in the Scan app determines the standard page layout for Lead and Contact OCR result pages.

Additional fields added to the standard Lead or Contact page layout will be displayed under the standard fields.
