Scan Lead Mapping

Lead Mapping


Lead mapping allows data from the Scan Item object to be transferred to the Lead object. When a Scan Item record is processed, the mapped fields ensure that the OCR results are correctly populated into the corresponding fields of the Lead object.

The default mapped fields are:

  • First Name
  • Email
  • Office Phone
  • Mobile Phone
  • Last Name
  • Company
  • Fax
  • Address Street
  • Address City
  • Address State
  • Address Zip
  • Address Country
  • Website
  • Notes

NoteRequired fields on the Lead object will be greyed out.

By default, only the standard scan item fields are mapped to the Lead object. Any custom fields added to the Scan Item object will require corresponding fields on the Lead object and must be mapped using Scan Lead Mapping. Data from fields that are not mapped will not be transferred to the new Lead record.



Scan Lead Mapping


To map fields from the Scan Item object to the Lead object, follow these steps:

1. From the navigation menu, select "Scan Lead Mapping".

2. At the bottom of the Scan Lead Mapping page, click "Add Field".

3. In the Scanning Item Object column, select the field you wish to map to the Lead object.

4. In the Lead Object column, select the corresponding field on the Lead object.

5. Repeat the process for any additional fields you wish to map.

6. When finished, click "Save Mapping."

7. A success message will appear once the update is complete.
