Scanning a Business Card from Your Device's Gallery


Additionally, you have the option to scan and digitize business cards by selecting images from your device gallery. This feature enables you to capture multiple business cards using your device's native camera and scan them at a later time.


To scan a business card image from your device's gallery:

1. From the home screen, select the paper clip icon at the top right.

2. Choose an image of a business card from your gallery.

3. After selecting an image, you'll be directed to the image review screen, where you can review the image and rotate it if necessary. (For optimal on-device OCR results, landscape orientation is recommended. If sending to the Salesforce Scanning Queue, orientation doesn't matter.)

4. After reviewing the image, tap the 'Next' arrow to proceed to the 'Continue to OCR' page.

5. On the 'Continue to OCR' screen, decide whether to send the scan to the Salesforce Scanning Queue or proceed to on-device OCR. At this point, you can also include various Salesforce enhancements for the scan.

  - If sending to the Salesforce Scanning Queue, you'll receive a confirmation message, and return to the home screen.

  - If using on-device OCR, you'll be directed to the OCR results page for review.

6. After reviewing the OCR results, proceed to the final screen to save the scan as a Salesforce Contact or Lead. Alternatively, save the scan as a contact on your device.

7. Once completed, tap the 'Home' icon to return to the home screen.
