What is Artificial Intelligence?
AI, or Artificial Intelligence, refers to the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, speech recognition, and language understanding. The goal of AI is to create machines or software that can emulate human-like cognitive functions and adapt to different situations.
I can be categorized into different approaches, including:
- Machine Learning (ML): A subset of AI that focuses on developing algorithms that allow computers to learn from data. It includes techniques like supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Deep Learning: A type of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks with many layers (deep neural networks) to analyze and interpret data. Deep learning has been particularly successful in tasks such as image and speech recognition.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): A field of AI that enables machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language. It is crucial for applications like language translation, chatbots, and sentiment analysis.
