Once the AI feature is enabled in Salesforce, users have the option to select "Use AI" to map the results of on-device OCR. This can improve mapping results compared to the Scan app's native mapping, particularly with event badge scans.

Users can choose the "Use AI" option on the OCR results screen after scanning and proceeding to on-device OCR results.

Note: By choosing the AI option, the OCR results will be sent to a third-party for processing and mapping.

Use AI Option

After enabling the AI feature and custom page layouts in Salesforce, the AI option will be available on the on-device OCR results screen.

Selecting the "Use AI" option will display a short processing message and produce the AI-mapped results afterward.

Inline updates or Tap & Update can be used to edit the new results if necessary.
