Adding a Custom Field to the Scan Item Object

Scan Item Object

If your organization has custom fields on the Lead and Contact objects and you want to capture that information when sending a business card to the Scanning Queue, you will need to add corresponding custom fields to the Scan Item object.

Custom fields added to the Scan Item object can be mapped to the Lead and Contact objects to capture the data when a scan item record is processed as a Lead or Contact.

Any fields on the Scan Item object that are not mapped to the Lead or Contact objects will not be captured when a scan item record is processed as a Contact or Lead.
