Scanning Using the Scan Module
Scanning a Business Card
To scan a business card:
1. Go to the Scan Menu
- Tap the Scan module on the home screen.
2. Select Business Card
- Choose Business Card from the Scan menu options.
3. Capture the Business Card
Use the scan interface to capture the card.
- iOS: Auto-capture will automatically capture and crop the image.
- Android: Tap the photo button and adjust if necessary.
4. Choose Processing Option
Send the scan to the Salesforce Scanning Queue or use on-device OCR.
- Salesforce Scanning Queue: Apply enhancements, then send to the queue. You’ll get a confirmation and return to the home screen.
- On-device OCR: Review the OCR results on the results page.
5. Review OCR Results
- On the OCR results screen, review the scan results and make any necessary updates.
6. Save the Scan
- After reviewing the OCR results, continue to the Destination screen to save the scan to Salesforce or as a contact on your device.
7. Return to the Home Screen
- Tap the Home icon to return to the home screen.

Scanning an NFC Card
1. Go to the Scan Menu
- Tap the Scan module to open the scan menu.
2. Select NFC Card
- From the scan menu, choose NFC Card from the list of options.
3. Scan the NFC Card
- Hold the NFC card near your device when prompted.
4. View the Results: After scanning, the results will be displayed on the preview screen.
- URL: You can copy the website link or visit the website using your device’s browser.
- vCard Format: You can copy the text or open the contact details.
5. Open Contact Details (vCard Format)
- If scanning an NFC card in vCard format, selecting Open Contact Details will take you to the results screen, where you can review and edit the information if necessary.
6. Proceed to Destination Screen
- After reviewing the information, proceed to the Destination screen. Here, you can include optional enhancements before saving the scan in Salesforce. You can also save the scan as a contact on your device.
7. Return to the Home Screen
- Once completed, tap the Home icon to return to the home screen.

Scanning a QR Code
To Scan a QR Code using the Scan Module:
1. Open the Scan Module
- From the home screen, tap the Scan module.
2. Select QR Codes
- In the Scan menu, select "QR Codes".
3. Scan the QR Code
- Point your device’s camera at the QR code.
4. View Scan Results
- Once the QR code is scanned, you’ll be directed to the QR code scan results screen to view the scan results.
5. Copy or Open Contact Details
- Copy the contact details to your device’s clipboard.
- Open the contact details.
6. Share the vCard
- To share the vCard, tap the Share icon at the bottom left of the screen.
7. Open Contact Details
- Select "Open Contact Details" to continue to the scan results screen.
8. Review and Update Results
- On the scan results screen, review and update the results if necessary.
9. Continue to the Destination Screen
- After reviewing, tap the "Next" arrow at the top right of the screen to proceed to the ‘Destination’ screen.
10. Save Scan Results
- On the Destination screen, you can:
- Add optional Salesforce enhancements to the scan before saving it as a Salesforce Contact or Lead.
- Save the scan as a contact on your device.
11. Return to the Home Screen
- When finished, tap the home icon to return to the home screen.
