OCR From Gallery

Users can also scan a business card image from their device gallery. This lets them capture multiple business cards with their phone's camera and scan them later. The process is similar to scanning a business card using the Capture module.

To Scan a Business Card from Your Gallery:

1. From the home screen, tap the paper clip icon at the top right.
2. Select the business card image from your gallery.
3. After selecting the image, you’ll be directed to the image review screen. Here, you can review the image and rotate it if necessary.
4. Once reviewed, tap the continue arrow to proceed to the Continue to OCR screen.
5. On the Continue to OCR screen, choose whether to send the scan to the Salesforce Scanning Queue or use on-device OCR. You can also include various Salesforce enhancements for the scan at this stage.
   1. If you send it to the Salesforce Scanning Queue, you’ll receive a confirmation message and return to the home screen.
   2. If you use on-device OCR, you’ll be directed to the OCR results page for review.
6. After reviewing the OCR results, proceed to the Destination screen to save the scan as a Salesforce Contact or Lead. Alternatively, you can save the scan as a contact on your device.
7. When finished, tap the home icon to return to the home screen.
