Consent Signature

The Signature enhancement in the Scan app lets users capture a consent signature and save it as an attachment when saving a scan as a Lead or Contact.

Consent signatures are only available for the Freedom Unlimited Plan.

The Signature enhancement can be found on the Send to Salesforce and Destination screens.

Adding a Signature

After completing a scan, tap the Signature enhancement icon to go to the Signature screen.

Here, any consent purpose statements can be acknowledged, and the signature can be collected.

After collecting the signature and acknowledging the consent statement, tap "Accept" to save the response and the signature.

Once the signature is saved, you'll see a checkmark above the Signature icon, confirming that the signature was successfully saved.

Consent Signature in Salesforce

After creating a Lead or Contact, the captured consent signature and consent statement response are saved with the record. The consent signature is stored as either an attachment (if using Notes & Attachments) or a file (if using Salesforce Files). The consent statement response is saved as a related record and can be viewed in the Responses related list.

The signature image can also be viewed in the Scan Image Lightning Web component.
