LinkedIn Integration

With the LinkedIn integration in the Scan app, users can conveniently use the data from their on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR) scans to search for matching LinkedIn profiles. The search utilizes the 'Name' and 'Company' fields extracted from the scan to find a matching profile on LinkedIn.This allows users to easily connect with these contacts on LinkedIn. Once the networking is done, they can seamlessly return to their scanning tasks in the app.

The LinkedIn integration can be found on the 'Destination' screen.

Sign in to LinkedIn

You must sign in to LinkedIn to search. You should only have to sign in one time the you install the Vision-e Scan app.

How to Search for a LinkedIn Profile

Once you've completed a scan and gone through the scan results, tapping the LinkedIn icon on the 'Destination' screen will redirect you to the LinkedIn website. If you're not already signed in to LinkedIn, you'll be prompted to sing in first. Once Singed in, the website will display profiles that match the name and company taken from the OCR results. You have the option to click the magnify glass to search. Once the profile is identified, click to connect with the option to save the URL.

Once you're finished, just hit the 'Back' arrow located at the top left corner to go back to the 'Destination' screen.
