Route Planning
Route Planning
Vision-e Maps simplifies route planning, whether you’re visiting potential leads, existing customers, or performing service calls. You can quickly create routes from your maps, and the automatic route planning feature provides a list of all your stops, along with directions and travel times.
• The My Route Lightning Web Component creates a route from the selected pins on the map in the order you choose.
• The Optimized Route Lightning Web Component creates a route with the most efficient stops to save you travel time.
You can manually create routes by clicking pins on the map and adding them to the route, or by selecting an area of the map and creating a route from the pins in that area.
Once a route is created, you can print the directions or email them to yourself.
Creating a Route Manually
You can create a route by selecting locations on the map and adding them to the route or by selecting an area on the map and adding the locations within that area.
To Create a Route Manually:
1. On the map sidebar, click the route icon. A dot will appear at the bottom right of the icon to indicate the tool is enabled.
2. Enable the route planning tool and click on the map pins to add them to your route. Each pin will be included in the order you click them. A blue line will connect each point, illustrating the route.
3. When finished, click the route icon again to complete the route.
The route directions will appear in the My Route component. If there are more than three stops, an optimized route will appear in the Optimized Route component.
Create a Route by Selecting an Area
To Create a Route by Selecting an Area:
1. On the map sidebar, click the “Select an Area” icon. A dot will appear at the bottom right of the icon to indicate the tool is enabled.
2. Select an area on the map.
3. Once you’ve selected an area, click within the area boundary. Then click the route icon. All the pins in the selected area will be added to the route.
The route directions will appear in the My Route component. If there are more than three stops, an optimized route will appear in the Optimized Route component.
