Linkedin URL
The Scan app now offers a feature that enables the saving of LinkedIn profile URLs, allowing these links to be added to Salesforce leads or contacts during their creation. When you use the LinkedIn enhancement, you can easily save the URL of a LinkedIn page. Once you've saved it, the URL gets automatically added to the Lead or Contact.
To view the LinkedIn URL in Salesforce, the "LinkedIn URL" field needs to be added to the Contact and Lead page layouts. Afterwards, records with LinkedIn URL attached will display the URL.
How it Works in-app
After performing a scan and continuing to the Destination screen after the on-device OCR results, using the LinkedIn enhancement now gives users the option to save the LinkedIn URL.
Tapping the save icon at the top right will save the LinkedIn page URL.
Now, when saving the scan as a Salesforce Lead or Contact, the LinkedIn URL will be added to the record.
Adding the "LinkedIn URL" Field to the Lead Page Layout

2. Select the Lead Object
- In the Object Manager, find and click on the "Lead" object to open it.
3. Access the Page Layouts
- Within the Lead object management page, click on "Page Layouts" in the sidebar.
4. Edit the Lead Page Layout
- Under "Page Layouts" click the "Lead Layout" to open the layout editor.
5. Add the "LinkedIn URL" field to the Layout
- From the top of the layout editor, find and drag the "LinkedIn URL" from the Field Palette (which contains a list of all available fields) into the desired section on the layout.
6. Save the Layout

Leads will now display saved LinkedIn URLs.
