Managing QR Codes in Salesforce

Utilizing Salesforce for QR code management enables you to seamlessly add and remove QR codes from the Mobile Scan App. Whether you're generating a QR code for a specific event or adding a set of standard QR codes for your users, our Salesforce Scan package simplifies the process.

After installing the Vision-e Scan Salesforce package, the 'QR Codes' feature is added. This functionality empowers you to oversee your organization's QR codes, providing a convenient platform for creating, editing, or deleting QR codes.

Selecting a QR code will take you to the QR code's page. In the 'Details' tab, you can see and edit the details of the QR code. From here, you can also check if a QR code is active. Active QR codes will be visible to all logged-in Mobile Scan App users.

Here, we'll guide you through the process of creating and activating a new QR code in Salesforce, as well as deactivating a QR code in Salesforce.

QR Codes In The Mobile Scan App

To access QR Codes, navigate to the 'My QR Codes' module within the Scan app. Here, users can view QR codes added through Salesforce and any custom QR codes created within the app. QR codes are organized into four categories: Business Cards, Landing Pages, Social, and Payment.


QR Code Handling In App

After creating and activating a QR code in Salesforce, it will be visible in the Mobile Scan app for logged-in users upon restarting or refreshing the app's settings.

In-app users will see the active QR code in the 'My QR Codes' module.

Deleting or deactivating a QR code in Salesforce removes it from the Mobile Scan app once the app is restarted or its settings are refreshed for logged-in users.

The deactivated QR code will be removed from the 'My QR Codes' module.



Generating A Custom QR Code In-App

Users can generate a custom QR code in four easy steps:

  1. Tap the 'Add' icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. Select the category of the QR code.
  3.  Enter the information into the specified fields.
  4. Tap 'Save' to generate the QR code.

The QR code will now be visible in the 'My QR Codes' module under the 'Landing Pages' category.
